MISSION MONARCH

In the past 20 years the population of monarch butterflies have declined by 90 percent. Part of this problem is lack of milkweed being grown in the Midwest. Mission Monarch is a seed packaging campaign for families and communities. The goal is to influence individuals to grow milkweed in their own yard to create a "monarch way station". Included are milkweed balls, seed trackers, an instruction booklet that turns into a poster and a packet with mesh and a rubber band. The jar itself can be used to take care of caterpillars when your milkweed eventually grows.
